Egg Handling Instructions

Handling Instructions

Farm fresh eggs have an invisible protective membrane, or bloom, over the shell. This ensures that oxygen and bacteria cannot get into the egg. Washed eggs, like those from the grocery store, no longer have this bloom.

For longer lasting eggs, do NOT wash your eggs until you are ready to use them.

To WASH, CAREFULLY RINSE WITH WARM WATER. NO SOAP NECESSARY.

Unwashed eggs - room temperature for 2 weeks or 3 months in the refrigerator
